A typographic project that brings new energy to a piece of design history.
Originally used in industrial packaging, this sturdy slab serif carries the weight and character of a different era — one of labels, metal tins, and bold product lettering.
As part of the Type West program, I digitized the typeface using source material from Letterform Archive. To expand its usability, I increased the glyph set to support both English and Spanish. The result is a revival that stays true to its roots, while making space for new applications.
